3 Tips for Buying Better Grocery Store Wine

↓ Here are my top 3 tips for buying wine at the supermarket ↓

1. LABEL CHECK: The name on the front of the label should match the name of the producer on the back of the bottle. This helps you make sure you’re buying a unique wine instead of one that’s mass produced and sold under different marketing.
2. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION: Look for a specific location on the front of the label. The more specific, the better! Wines that just say “France” or “Washington” or “California” can be made from grapes from just about anywhere in those regions, so picking a more specific region, like “Burgundy, France” or “Napa Valley, CA” will increase your chances of finding a wine that takes care in sourcing incredible grapes.
3. LESS IS MORE: This last tip may be a little controversial but when you’re shopping for wine at the grocery store, I suggest skipping the wines that grab your attention… These wines are most likely relying on marketing to sell their wine instead of using those resources to source and make great wine. In my experience, the more boring the label is at the grocery store, the better the quality of the wine!
