 If you’re heading to Napa Valley, be sure that you visit the wonderful little town of Calistoga. This historic town is most known for its hot springs, mud baths, and of course–wineries. Whether you make it your home base or just visit as a day trip, you certainly won’t regret it!

It's finally happening. The wine trip you've been wanting to go on is finally a reality. You’ve purchased the plane tickets, taken the time off work, and booked the perfect Airbnb. Now you just need to plan the wineries you’ll be visiting and how you’ll be spending your time on your wine trip!  My husband and I recently visited Napa Valley and Sonoma for the first time and when it came time to plan the trip I was both excited and incredibly overwhelmed! There were so many wineries and tasting rooms and I wanted to visit them all, but that obviously wasn’t going to be possible in the four days that we were down there. I want to share my tips for how I went about planning my wine trip in hopes that it helps you plan your next wine trip!
 Is anyone else feeling cooped up this winter? Lately, I’ve found myself craving a good wine bar outing. These cozy little restaurants usually have tons of wines to choose from - which means there’s a wine for everyone! - as well as picture-perfect charcuterie boards and small plates. With that in mind, here are my suggestions for the best wine bars in Seattle! I was brimming with excitement as my husband and I made the familiar drive from Seattle to Woodinville this past weekend. Not only was I finally getting out of the house, but we were heading to a place that holds my fondest memories. We had booked a tasting at Chateau Lill, a venue typically reserved only for special events but that had recently opened up for socially distant wine tastings. This meant we had the lucky experience of returning to the venue of our wedding, and I couldn’t wait to relive the joy of that day.
When we arrived, the space did not disappoint. There’s something utterly magical about Chateau Lill (though maybe I’m a tad biased). They had a fire going at the entrance, and the barrel room open for viewing. |
