Intro to Croatian Wine
Ever heard of Tribidrag, one of Croatia's most popular red grapes? You might be shaking your head but you likely know it as another name! In 1994 it was proven that Zinfandel is identical to Croatia's Tribidrag.
To be honest, I never thought much about Croatian wine until my latest Walla Walla Retreat where one of my guests was actually from Croatia and ran a yacht and wine tourism business there.
She spoke of such unique grape varieties (Plavac Mali, Pošip, Grk) that I’d never heard of and I was hooked! Last year I had the opportunity to learn more when she joined me on the podcast to talk about Croatian wine and I’ve been wanting to try these wines ever since. So that's what we're going to do with this tasting!
