Wine & Food Pairing - Desserts Edition
In preparation for the Holidays I think it's finally time we learn about sweet wines.
Now, I understand that sweet wines can be very divisive. You either love them or you hate them. But trust me, there's a lot more to sweet wines than meets the eye.
Did you know that some of the most expensive, sought after wines in the world are sweet wines? Or that these wallet bursting wines are made with rotten grapes? If they're not made with rotten grapes, many sweet wines are made from dried grapes (aka raisins!) Could you imagine pressing a raisin for juice?
Trust me, this is a class you're not going to want to miss. Plus, we'll be pairing these sweet wines with all your favorite desserts and sweet treats (and maybe some cheese so we don't go into sweetness overload!)
As always, I also want to hear from you during the tasting! I'll be limiting each session of this class to just 10 participants to keep the class interactive and so that I'll have plenty of time to answer all of your questions! My goal with every virtual tasting is to make the world of wine more approachable and build your confidence in the wine world.
If you've ever been the slightest bit curious about wine, this is the perfect opportunity to learn in a judgement-free zone and from the comfort of your own home! No previous wine knowledge necessary, the primary goal of this event is to have fun and learn something new!
How Does it Work?
When you sign up for the event, I will send you a shopping list of the wines and foods you'll need for the virtual tasting. The experience is best when you purchase all three styles of wine, but it's not necessary! You could easily enjoy the class with just one bottle of wine.
My hope is that these styles of wine should be easy enough to find at your local liquor store, grocery store, Bevmo, or Total Wine. However, if you have any trouble don't hesitate to reach out. I'd be happy to suggest alternatives!
Along with the shopping list, I'll also send you a wine tasting guide, printable tasting mat, guided note sheet, and the zoom link for joining the virtual tasting! Zoom does not require any account, so simply click the link in the email at the time of the event to join.
*Note: The price for the event is per screen. So feel free to invite a couple friends over to join you! The more the merrier!
