Private Virtual Tastings
Does each person in my group need to sign up separately for the private tasting?
No. Class sign up is done per group, so only one person will need to sign up. Cost of the class is per person, but charged all together. There is an option when signing up to enter each group members name and e-mail address so they can receive the confirmation e-mail and any reminder e-mails.

Is there a minimum number of people per private tasting?
Yes. Minimum is 2 people for a virtual tasting.

Is there a maximum number of people per private tasting?
Yes and No. My booking site currently limits class sizes to under 50 people. However, if you're interested in booking a tasting for a larger group, please reach out via email and we can work something out.

Will there be any people I don't know in the private tasting?
No stranger danger here (unless you count the instructor)! Jokes aside, the classes are private so the only people in the class will be those in your group. If you'd like to join a class as an individual, check out my social group classes!

Does Cork and Fizz provide the wine for the class?
We have partnered with Lifetime Vintage to provide wine bottle boxes for most of our private tasting classes. Wine must be purchased separately from the virtual tasting event. You're not required to purchase a wine pack, but it's a great option if you're looking for a full virtual tasting experience

If you'd like Lifetime Vintage to provide wine for your virtual tasting, we require that at least 2 participants in the virtual tasting class order a wine box.

How do I order a wine pack or kit from Lifetime Vintage for my private virtual wine tasting?
At booking, you'll let us know how you'd like to acquire your wine. If you select a wine box, an email will be sent to you with additional instructions to order your wine from Lifetime Vintage. Kits can be purchased individually or all together.

I don't live in Seattle, but I'd like to order wine to accompany my private virtual wine tasting. Is there an option for me?
Yes! We offer bottle boxes containing 2-4 full bottles of wine to go with your tasting that can be shipped across the US.

Do all members in the group have to be in the same location?
Not at all! This is one of the major benefits of being virtual. Half of your group could be in New York, while the other half is in Chicago. Just be sure to pay attention to the time of the class and determine the correct time for your time zone. All classes are in PST timezone.

Can I plan a custom private class for a party or celebration?
Absolutely. Simply choose "Custom Class" when ordering and I'll work with you to plan the perfect class.

Do I need any wine knowledge to enjoy the class?
Absolutely not! You are not expected to know anything about wine before taking a class with us. The classes we offer are aimed towards wine beginners or what I like to call "budding" wine enthusiasts.

How do I join a virtual tasting?
We will be using Zoom for our virtual wine tasting. On the day of the class, you will receive a reminder email with a button to join the Zoom call. Simply click the button 3-5 minutes before the class is set to start and it will take you to our call. If you have any problems joining, please e-mail me at hailey@corkandfizz.com or call/text me at (206) 657-6329. Additional questions about Zoom are answered on their FAQ page.

What if I don't have a webcam?
A webcam is not required to join the class. However, it does mean we will only be able to hear you, should you choose to interact with the class.

What is your refund policy?
All reschedule requests must be submitted at least 72 hours before your tasting. For Private Tastings, I am always happy to reschedule at no extra charge. If rescheduling doesn't work and you need a refund for your private tasting, I have two options. First: I am happy to give you a full refund in the form of store credit. Otherwise, I charge a 15% service fee and if your tasting is less than 7 days away I can only refund 50% of the cost of the booking.
Unfortunately I do not offer refunds for tickets to the group virtual events at the moment.

Yes. If attendees do not show up within the first 15 minute of a group class they forfeit their ticket. If you know ahead of time that you will be late for a class, please email hailey@corkandfizz.com and we can make an exception.
