Air Date: Wednesday, June 14th 2023
I find in the wine community that Rosé is looked down upon and not seen as a fine wine. Many also make the mistake of thinking it’s always sweet. Well, I LOVE Rosé and I drink it all year round…not just in the summer! Today I’m chatting about the complex and often misunderstood world of Rosé!
We’ll start by chatting all about the history of Rosé. Did you know it dates all the way back to 1550 BC? I’ll also share the different methods to produce Rosé and how these methods can affect the color and flavor. We will learn how winemakers fix the color of Rosé during fermentation and why it’s not always an easy or cheap wine to produce. I’ll also take you along through my favorite regions in France, Italy, and Spain for Rosé plus my five favorite bottles of Rosé made right here in the US! Are you ready to dive into the complex and often misunderstood world of Rosé? If so, grab a glass of your favorite Rosé and press play! Episode Highlights:
